Apto Job Copilot: Tailor Your CV Next to Any Job Post
The Apto browser extension opens beside job posts on LinkedIn, JobStreet, Glints, Kalibrr and Indeed to score your fit, tailor your CV and prep interviews.
Applying properly takes many small steps: copy the job description, open your CV, rewrite the bullets to match, write a cover letter, look up the company, then remember which version you sent where. Most of that time goes into switching between tabs. Apto Job Copilot is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge that brings those steps into a side panel next to the job post you are reading.
Scan any job for your fit score
Open a job posting and click 'Scan this job'. Apto reads the posting, compares it with your CV, and shows a fit score with your strengths and your gaps for that specific role. The job is saved to your Apto application tracker at the same time, so you never lose track of a role you looked at. If a page lists several jobs, highlight the text of the one you want before scanning. The panel works on LinkedIn, JobStreet, Glints, Kalibrr and Indeed, and on most other job sites once you allow it to read the page.
Tailor your CV in one click
Click 'Tailor CV' and Apto rewrites your summary and bullet points to match the keywords and priorities of that job description, in about fifteen seconds. You see the improved match score before you commit, then save and download the tailored PDF straight from the panel. Each tailored version is stored in your Apto account, so you always know which CV went to which company.
Cover letter, company intel and interview practice
From the same panel you can generate a cover letter written for that role and company and copy it into the application form. 'Company intel' researches the company for you — what it does and what to know before applying or interviewing. 'Practice interview' gives you the questions you are likely to be asked for this job and how to prepare, including the gaps from your fit scan. When you have sent the application, click 'I applied' and the tracker updates, which also sets up your follow-up reminders.
What it costs
Scanning jobs and saving them to your tracker is free, up to a daily limit. Tailoring a CV, writing a cover letter and researching a company use Apto tokens, the same as in the web app, and the panel shows the token cost before you click. You can top up tokens from the panel if you run out.
How to install
The extension works in Chrome and Edge. While the Chrome Web Store listing is on its way, you install it from your Apto account: open Settings in Apto, download the extension file, and follow the short install steps shown there. Then click 'Connect Apto' in the panel to link your account once. If you do not have an account yet, you can sign up free from the panel. Upload your CV in Apto first so the extension has something to score and tailor.
